Oh how far I have come…
Not just a “Milker”
Im a herdsman…
I feed them.. I have become a decent nutritionist… 35 ladies and more often than not over 25 specialty meals.
When needed I “doctor” them.
I breed them, by AI and by bull
I help them give birth when they need help.
I raise their babies and love them like they are my own..
For this…
My Bonnie girl, the first calf I raised here on this small farm is greatful and together during her first lactation we often pray for each other.. for we know that with a farm owner in her 80’s that any day it could come crashing to an end… but also we know every day .. is an immense gift we share.
